The American Pro Football Conference (the predecessor to the NFL) was formed in Canton Ohio in 1920, but that has nothing to do with the invention of football, which occurred more than 50 years earlier when Princeton met Rutgers, in New Brunswick, NJ. There's a link below.





Also, the formation of the All American Football Conference, which gave the NFL the Forty Niners, was in June 1944, at Chicago. And the formation of the American Football League, which gave the NFL 10 teams, was formed in August of 1959, also in Chicago.





So there are the four primary dates and locations which led to the formation of the modern NFL. Having Canton as the only place simply doesn't cut it. And football definitely wasn't invented there.Are you a true NFL fan, Can you answer this trivia question?
